WEDDING ACCOMMODATION SUNSHINE COAST HINTERLAND

We had our wedding in Feb and didn’t have much time to plan. Joy, the manager is amazing and so helpful. She made the day run so smoothly and even though there was some weather stress she was all over it, taking into consideration tiny details like taking a basket of clear umbrellas down to the ceremony site. Thank you so much for making our day so special.

We booked Maleny Retreat for our May wedding and it was absolutely wonderful. Joy the manager was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. We booked for 40 guests for a midweek ceremony and reception. The view is incredible, it can’t be compared. The ceremony location overlooked the Glass House Mountains and was easy to walk to for guests across a small paddock or a golf buggy was used for guests who were a bit uneasy on their feet. The reception area was between the guest house and the tent village and provided so much space that you could really use the venue for whatever you could envisage. The guest house accommodation was great as it meant we weren’t rushing around the day before and morning of the wedding. We were all relaxed and getting ready as the day went on. We booked The Tipsy Mare for our bar services and Kraut n’ About for our food services. I don’t have anything negative to say about any of my vendors. I am so glad that I found Maleny Retreat while I was looking for venues. It was perfect.

My daughter was married at Maleny Retreat a few weeks ago. Fabulous weather, stunning backdrop and an amazing venue. The organising, food, music, flowers and every detail was done by Wild Heart Weddings and everything was just beautiful. The venue has a permanent enormous marquee set up that overlooks incredible views of the surrounding hills and valleys with the sky as a backdrop. Accommodation is from glamping tents to an array of rooms with all amenities within a few metres. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble and included a golf buggy to help the elderly or disabled around the property. A perfect place for our families and friends to celebrate the wedding of our loved ones. Guests were able to stay overnight and a recovery breakfast was served the next morning.

An enormous thanks to Joy and the team at Maleny Retreat. Not only is the view completely stunning and like no other, but it is the perfect DIY venue. We initially fell in love with MRW for the view, the nature vibes and how we could literally have all of our family and friends stay. Having the ability to have all of our nearest stay with us meant it was the ultimate reunion and we could truly make the wedding a family affair and use all the hands possible for set up and pack down, no hiring a stylist required. Throughout the planning Joy answered all my questions, was always there to help and even was vital when it was due to rain on our wedding day, the only day that month, and organised a crisis plan for us. Despite the early morning rain it was perfect in time for the ceremony. On the day, Joy and Hannah were amazing in ensuring we were fed, warm in the golf buggy for photos and they were always there to straighten my train and veil. Maleny Retreat has all your photos sorted too, all the best views of the hinterland are within minutes on a golf buggy and the old, tall trees will always ensure your pictures look stunning. Honestly the scenery did half the work in our photos. Cannot be more grateful we chose this amazing location.

Dear Joy, Wendy and Wayne. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding experience more than we could have ever imagined. You have been blessed with a beautiful piece of land to host weddings on, but more than that, you treat couples and their families like they deserve the very best, and you take care of them like your own. The way that Wendy came up to me on the freezing night before our wedding and asked us to please use the heaters, free of charge, nearly made me cry. We had a tight budget for this wedding, and by the time it came around you could barely hear change jingling in my pockets, but this incredibly kind gesture proved that your team cares about the clients, not the money. Wayne, who took us around on the golf buggy to get our photos on our day, laid down beautiful cosy blankets and sheepskins for us to cuddle into on the buggy, and chatted to us like old friends. He was hilarious, and he really brightened my mood after a few big hiccups with other vendors on our wedding day. Joy, your name suits you indubitably. You are so kind and warm, and flexible to your clients’ needs. Our budget was tight, but you helped us work with it. We were stressed, but you reassured us and helped us make important decisions. We had a very clear idea of some things we wanted, and you helped us make it happen. If we were to get married again, we’d get married at Maleny Retreat a million times over. Thank you, sincerely. It is hard to come up with adequate words to describe the beauty of Maleny Retreat. Definitely a slightly lesser known gem hidden in the hinterland with jaw dropping spectacular scenery and views to give couples the edge of the world feeling as they marry. I am lucky enough to have booked more weddings here this year and absolutely love this venue. Great facilities and staff too. Highly recommend.

My daughter had her wedding at this beautiful venue 1/12/18. We had a large number of guests from the UK and USA, so to share the natural beauty of the Glass House Mountains with family and friends from near and far was very special. The Homestead accommodation was beautiful and spacious, and as it was my daughter’s birthday wedding eve, we had a food truck arrive for early dinner and drinks and lawn games. We made use of the tent village for guests after the wedding and then brunch for the guests who had stayed over the following morning. The views of the ceremony location and the reception were both truly amazing, I could not recommend it enough, the natural beauty was breathtaking. Joy was great to deal with the whole time, thank you for making their day so special.

This place is so incredibly special. We planned to get married here three years ago. Three postponements later, we were finally able to have our day. It was a very wet weekend, a once in 100 year weather event. Joy was amazing, so generous and did anything she could to help. We had to make so many last minute changes due to the weather, and Joy went above and beyond so we were able to have the wedding we dreamed of. We were even able to organise a mock up on a later date to retake photos we weren’t able to capture. The place is stunning, the view is to die for. It will forever hold such a special place in our hearts.
